Studio STE was formed by Rebecca Sterling, AIA LEED AP, to bridge the gap between high end Architecture, Interiors and Sustainability.

We work closely with individuals and brands to define and refine their "DNA", directly translating it into a unique user experience and architectural aesthetic. 

We prioritize natural materials, passive strategies and systems, along side design efficiency and simplicity. 

Our work integrates craftsmanship, a strong relationship between interior and exterior, and a deep appreciation and curiosity for the project at hand.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

REBECCA STERLING, AIA LEED AP

Rebecca is a licensed architect in the states of Connecticut and New York. She was raised on a farm in England and an historic home in rural Connecticut, which continue to be sources of inspiration for her work.

Early in her career, she lived in Japan to study traditional and contemporary Architecture and Landscape Design, which led to her first professional role on a large project in the foothills of Kyoto.

She has worked with celebrated architects and designers such as I.M. Pei and Philip Wu, continually bridging gaps between high end and environmentally conscious design. She approaches each project as a unique exercise, emphasizing a collaborative approach with the client and contractor whenever possible.

ABOUT THE TEAM

  • BUSINESS MANAGER

    Kim brings over a decade of experience working with successful Interior and Architectural Design businesses to the team. She has extensive industry experience with all aspects of accounting and finance, and prefaces clear and open client communication from the beginning to the end of each project. She is the backbone of Studio STE and brings a splash of humor and easy confidence to the team!

  • PROJECT MANAGER

    Lawrence is a Brooklyn native and a graduate of the Pratt Institute on the path to becoming a licensed Architect. He combines a detail oriented process with broad knowledge of Construction, Sustainable Design and Project Management to the table. Lawrence leads each task with focus and curiosity, asking the right questions at the right times.

  • INTERIOR ARCHITECT AND DESIGNER

    Gio received his Masters Degree in Interior Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan and brings with him a rich professional experience throughout Europe and Scandinavia. He is well versed in Environmental and Sustainable methodologies and designs with a unique sensibility toward space at multiple scales.
